It is ART that makes life, makes interest, makes importance,
and I know of no substitute for the FORCE and BEAUTY of its process.

“The visual world is filled with wonder and magic. The creative act is my response. I draw and paint.
I graduated from the Portland Museum Art School in 1966, became a graphic designer and eventually owned my own design firm. In the 1970’s the fabulous George Hamilton introduced me to the world of watercolor. I fell in love with it and have been painting ever since. Watercolor is a full body sport requiring sensitivity to and appreciation of it’s fluid qualities and transparent nature within a time sensitive framework. It is a very physical medium; a kind of dance. The tactile feel of a good sable brush on watercolor paper is particularly pleasant. The medium is a joy to experience.
